Game Development with Javascript at Saint Paul College

Beginning Fall Semester 2016, the Computer Science and Digital Graphics & Interactive Multimedia Departments will be offering both a degree and certificate in web-based game development. Javascript will be the primary programming language used while Tumult Hype will be the primary development framework. Retro games will be emulated to teach traditional game logic and practical game design techniques.

Overview


Programming Degree Option

The Computer Programming AAS Degree option is comprised of 16 General Education credits and 44 Technical Education Credits for a total of 60 credits. This option is recommended for students who have not already earned a two year or four year degree within Computer Science or related field.

Game Development Certificate Option

The Game Development Certificate has no General Education requirements and is composed of 24 Technical Education Credits in Computer Science and Digital Graphics. This option is recommended for students who have already obtained a two year or four year degree within Computer Science or related field.
